Pickle Strive account vs. Google Health (Fitbit) account
Two separate accounts work together to power Pickle Strive. Here's what each one does.
Why Two Accounts?
Pickle Strive is an independent platform — it doesn't live inside Google Health or Fitbit. Your Pickle Strive account is where your pickleball identity, stats, and social connections live. Your Google Health account is controlled by Google and holds raw workout data from your wearable device.
Keeping them separate means you own your Pickle Strive data regardless of what happens with your wearable or your Google account. It also means Pickle Strive can support additional wearables and manual logging without being tied to any single platform.
Note on email addresses: The email you use for Pickle Strive and the email on your Google Health / Fitbit account can be the same or different — that's entirely up to you. Pickle Strive connects to Google Health via a secure OAuth authorization, not by matching email addresses.
Your Pickle Strive account
This is your profile on Pickle Strive. You sign in with just your email — no password required. We send a one-time code each time you log in.

Your Google Health / Fitbit account
This is the Google account linked to your Fitbit device via the Google Health app. It lives entirely outside of Pickle Strive — you manage it through Google and Fitbit directly.

How they work together
Once you create your Pickle Strive account, you can optionally connect your Google Health account from Settings. When connected, Pickle Strive reads your Tennis-mode workouts from Google Health and converts them into pickleball sessions automatically. The two accounts stay separate — connecting one doesn't merge or replace the other.
